Twerking with Kelechnekoff

Twerking with Kelechnekoff

I’m sure if you follow me on Instagram you would have noticed that I did some Twerk classes last week, with the amazing Kelechenekoff brand, thanks to the new (but still young) bloggers network that I recently formed called Bloggers That Slay).

The Kelechnekoff studio is based in East London (whoop whoop!) and although a boutique size, you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the décor. The studio has some amazing Hollywood lights in the changing room that will make you feel glam before and after the class. In the dance studio, itself, there are some beautiful gloss black flooring, a signature trendy neon light and groovy lighting to get you in the mood to shake a leg.

But enough with the interior design narration! I would recommend the class for everyone – you don’t need to worry about anything being too advanced as Kelechi (Studio owner and dance instructor) starts you from the basics. You begin with rhythm to make sure that you are on the beat and then you move on to actual choreography. If there are any parts of the choreography that you are struggling with, Kelechi is awesome at breaking it down and letting you know the exact part of your body you are supposed to be POPPING so that you’ll be flexing like the video girls in no time! There was a good mix of music as we started with Afrobeat’s and then moved on to US Hip Hop!

I am a person that loves to dance already and have it in my plans to dance more for 2017. I found the Twerk classes to be fun. There were some parts that were difficult, but this was more to do with the fact that twerking really takes a lot of energy out of you. The other bloggers that were at the class (some not ever twerking before), really loved the Twerk class so I know I’m not being bias!

If you would like to do something cool for a special occasion, Kelechnekoff also offer Pole Dancing classes that I will try out in 2017. Classes can be set to a timetable but you can also organise something for large groups which is brilliant for hen do’s and birthdays!!!!

Looks like it would be a lot of fun, if I were ever brave enough to try ^_^
