Beyonce “Mrs Carter Show” 2013 : Outfit post

If you were following the Twitter and Facebook page on Friday then you would’ve realised that I was en route to Beyonce’s Mrs Carter Show in the UK!

The show itself was really thrilling! It was my first time actually watching Beyonce and I heard from many that she was a great performer. I’d like to say that her performance isn’t a myth and she is ridiculously beautiful in real life (especially in her Givenchy outfit!). As I had put so much thought into my outfit I thought it was only right that I shared it with you!

I had actually rushed and bought a bunch of items I didn’t even wear in fear that I didn’t have an outfit for the concert. As I put my new outfit together, I decided to have a final look at my current wardrobe and managed to find these lovely garments .

I wanted an outfit that was comfortable but had a bit of that glam factor. I wore an ASOS Aztec style crop top with an ASOS blue jersey midi skirt. As the midi skirt was made from a stretch material, I pulled it up to make it look as though it was high waisted so it looked a bit more sophisticated.

The earrings and necklace are both from Topshop. I really like the necklace because it is brushed with antique style gold. I don’t often buy fashion jewellery (as I like real gold) so I am usually cautious about the appearance of fashion jewellery – especially since very cheap versions have a habit of fading in colour. The earrings were from a different set as I find that matching earrings and necklace can look pretty simple. I went for an abstract pair of earrings that complimented the necklace.

To finish of the accessories I wore a variety of vintage beaded bracelets and Ghanaian gold bangles. The set also included the recent Mia Bonassii bracelet gift I received. On my nails I’m wearing the speckled Illamasqua lilac nail polish. It’s a lovely fun pastel colour with speckles of glitter and dark purple that give your nails the colour of a Cadbury’s mini egg crispy shell. Although the nail polish rarely chips or scratches I strongly recommend using a top coat to provide further protection.

On my Instagram you may have seen that I had originally paired the outfit with shoes but at the very last minute bailed and wore flats (I had a standing ticket and wanted to dance!!!).
