As the weather starts to warm up and people move into spring / summer mode, it’s important for us to keep our wardrobes updated. Although they are items that are sometimes taken for granted it may just be that denim is the key look this season.
As I’m celebrating #DenimDedication month with The Dressing Room. I take you through five denim jean cuts so you can best work out your style for the season. Denim is ____?
Never forget that amongst the sweltering heat the last thing you want are uncomfortable, sticky jeans which is why I strongly recommend loose boyfriend / slouch jeans if comfort is your ultimate aim. Please don’t associate loose jeans with a scruffy look as fashion has advanced from this. Pair your jeans with feminine crop tops and architectural heels if you want to look lady like. If you are aiming for the ultimate comfort crash pair with flats and the popular varsity jacket for that preppy look.

_____ Making a statement?
Denim is a versatile material that is pretty much can handle any form of customisation. Prints, coloured denim, rips and fray – you name it denim can do it! If you are a daring fashionista your main concern is what everyone will tell you about your outfit. Be bold and go all out!

_____ Looking glamorous?
Sometimes there isn’t anything that makes you feel better than being covered in glamour. This spring the girliest and trendiest fashionista will be reviving the body flattering flare jeans. It’s comfortable, makes your legs look longer and most importantly will turn heads. As a really diverse jean, you’ll be able to wear with frilly tops and flower head pieces for bohemian chic as well as pair it colour block polo shirts for a retro casual look.

If you aren’t too bugged about what others think of your jeans and you need the most versatile pair of jeans then skinny is the way forward. I don’t think I have to say anything else – it pretty much speaks for itself.
